Teaches: Prenatal Yoga, Kids Yoga, Postnatal Yoga, Infant Massage

Alisa attended her first yoga class when she was 20 and fell in love, but it wasn’t until suffering a major back injury years later that she realized yoga was going to become a much bigger part of her life. It was a major component of her rehabilitation for her body and mind, and she knew she wanted to share her practice with others.

Alisa is an E-RYT 500 beginning her teaching journey in 2014 at Source Yoga in Winnipeg with certifications in Hatha, Vinyasa, and Yin, and soon found her passion with Perinatal Yoga, continuing her education with the Empowerment Project, and obtaining her Pre/Postnatal Fitness Specialist Certification.

With a commitment to lifelong learning Alisa has continued her studies to include various teacher trainings including her Pre and Postnatal Yoga Accreditation with the Manitoba Fitness Council, Vinyasa Immersion in Skilful Sequencing at Shala Yoga in Squamish BC, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction with the Mindfulness Centre of Canada, Advanced Teacher Training at Yoga Centre Winnipeg, Infant Massage Instructor Certification, and various pre/postnatal fitness, pelvic health, somatic, and childbirth education courses.   She is also certified Kids Yoga Teacher completing her training with Kidding Around Yoga and Yoga Ed. She loves working with all ages of children from toddlers to teens to help them discover the joy of movement and learn the benefits of mindfulness.

Alisa offers Karma classes throughout the year through her fundraising initiative Healing Minds, Healing Bodies to raise money for the CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

She is passionate about empowering women to prepare their body, mind, and breath for labour and delivery, and helping new moms connect with their core, community, and babies.
